How to compare website proposals in Pakistan

Put two written quotes beside the same business requirement. Compare what gets built, what your team must supply, what continues to cost money and what you receive at handover.

BringPak Editorial Team · Published 15 October 2026 · Editorial policy

Write one brief before comparing the prices

Name the customer journey first: for example, a visitor reads one of five service pages and sends an enquiry that an assigned staff member can find. List the content your team can provide and the actions staff need to perform after launch. Send the same brief to each provider so a design-only quote is not treated as equivalent to a project that includes content entry, receipt handling and training.

Use Included, Excluded or Unconfirmed beside every requirement, with a reference to the proposal section. An unmentioned item stays Unconfirmed. Ask the provider to resolve it in writing before comparing the total.

Ten checks for each website quote

Pages and content

List each page, who writes it, image permissions and how many products or records are entered.

A five-page design does not identify whether copywriting or catalogue entry is included.

Editing access

Ask a staff member to change a sample heading and image using the proposed editor.

A CMS name does not establish which fields your team can edit or whether training is included.

Enquiry receipt

Name the saved destination, staff notification and recovery step when an external service fails.

A success message alone does not show that the intended team received the enquiry.

Integrations

Name each provider, supported action, required account and excluded operation.

A WhatsApp link differs from automated replies; a payment receipt differs from a verified transaction.

Migration

Count the records and URLs, identify relationships and agree a sample reconciliation.

Moving page text differs from moving customer accounts, order history or private documents.

Review and acceptance

Write the test journey, reviewer, revision rounds and approval dependencies.

A delivery date needs a starting condition such as approved content and working account access.

Accounts and ownership

Record domain, hosting, source repository, licences and administrator account owners.

Custom source code, third-party licences and a hosted platform subscription have different terms.

Support and recovery

Name support hours, response expectations, backup scope and a restore rehearsal.

A backup file is different from a demonstrated recovery; support is different from new feature work.

Recurring and usage costs

Separate hosting, domain renewals, licences, messaging, model usage and maintenance.

A fixed setup amount does not establish future usage costs or renewal prices.

Exit and handover

Ask for documented access, a usable export, deployment instructions and exclusions.

An export should preserve the fields and relationships the business needs to continue operating.

Worked example: setup price and first-year costs

These invented quotes demonstrate the calculation. They are not BringPak offers, competitor quotations or market price estimates. Both examples assume twelve monthly charges during the comparison period. Real billing may start on another date or include an initial prepaid period.

Synthetic quotes in PKR; listed charges only
ItemExample AExample B
One-time setupRs. 45,000Rs. 65,000
Monthly listed chargeRs. 2,000Rs. 500
Twelve monthly chargesRs. 24,000Rs. 6,000
Setup + twelve monthly chargesRs. 69,000Rs. 71,000
Content editingStaff editor excluded; request a separate scopeStaff editor and one training session listed
Domain, tax and other usage feesUnconfirmedUnconfirmed

The setup difference is Rs. 20,000, but the difference between the listed first-year amounts is Rs. 2,000. Neither amount is a complete project total while required work, domain charges, tax or usage fees remain unresolved. Example B includes an editor, but that alone does not establish better quality or value. Compare the required editing task and its ongoing responsibilities before choosing.

For your own comparison, calculate one-time agreed work + recurring charges for the same period + known renewals + estimated usage under the same assumptions. Keep unknown amounts in a separate list rather than entering zero. Repeat for the renewal year because a discounted first year may have different billing.

Resolve the items that change the decision

Suppose your receptionist must change prices weekly. If one quote excludes staff editing, ask for the editor cost or the price and turnaround for each update. If you already have customers and orders, request a migration sample and reconciliation plan. A lower quote can still fit a smaller requirement; the important point is that the accepted scope matches how the business will operate.

Ask each provider to demonstrate one representative task with synthetic data. Keep a record of the result and unresolved questions. For search work, ask which pages, technical checks and measurement are included. A proposal can commit to work and reporting; it cannot establish a guaranteed Google position or AI recommendation.

Use the comparison in your project discussion

Compare Next.js, WordPress and Shopify responsibilities if platform choice is still open. Check BringPak's published starting packages separately; this worksheet does not change those prices.

For the next stage, use the website launch review, plan maintenance responsibilities, or discuss a scope with BringPak. Share your requirements and open questions; remove passwords and private customer information from any proposal you send.
